Blacksmith made Ironwork, ranging from ornamental iron to wootz crucible steel swords

The story of Iron

Warmest welcome to those who come to the North Shore Forge & Ironworks website. After many years of learning how to express my self with ironwork, I feel the need to turn my full attention to following the art. My name is Greg Obach and I am a Blacksmith, with an interest in crucible steels. I have spent 12 years or more of my life learning the blacksmith craft, and now i take a step forward to offer some of my forged items for sale. Much of what i show on the website has come and gone, but my goal is to provide a limited view of what custom work i am capable of creating ! I have written several small articles on making wootz crucible steel. Replication of Wootz is my undergraduate research project ! I have also put a wootz tutorial on the primal fires forum, solely for educational purposes !
